An academy does not need a supplier who simply fills an Instagram calendar. It needs a partner who understands football, parents, admissions, coach credibility and the operational limits of producing content inside a live training environment.

01

Strategy before content volume

The first task is to define the business problem. An academy seeking new admissions needs a different content system from a club building supporter identity or a coach establishing professional authority. Publishing five posts a week is not a strategy unless every format has a clear audience and purpose.

The plan should connect content themes to specific outcomes such as enquiries, trial registrations, parent trust, retention, community visibility or commercial partnerships.

02

A football-aware production system

  • Plan filming around the actual training schedule and competition calendar.
  • Give coaches simple prompts instead of expecting polished performances on camera.
  • Use education-led carousels and training observations when testimonials are unavailable.
  • Capture reusable footage rather than shooting only for one post.
  • Protect children’s privacy and obtain the required permissions.
03

Messages parents can evaluate

Parents need more than motivational copy. Strong academy communication explains coaching methodology, age-appropriate development, competition exposure, safety, schedules and the progression between batches. This gives families something concrete to compare.

The marketing partner should challenge unsupported claims. Calling every programme ‘elite’ weakens credibility when the delivery, selection criteria and player pathway are not clearly defined.

04

A real enquiry pathway

  • Every campaign should have one clear next action.
  • WhatsApp and forms should collect enough information for useful follow-up.
  • Responses, trial attendance and conversion should be tracked consistently.
  • The academy must know who owns follow-up and how quickly leads are contacted.
  • Campaign learning should change the next month’s plan.
05

Reporting that leads to decisions

Reach and likes are not enough. Reporting should connect content performance to the objective: qualified enquiries, trial registrations, admissions, parent questions, profile visits or repeat engagement. It should also identify which themes and formats deserve more production time.

A competent partner makes the academy’s work easier to understand and easier to buy. If the service produces attractive posts but no clearer positioning, enquiry system or learning loop, the marketing remains incomplete.

Bottom line

Expect strategy, football context, a workable production process, clear enquiry handling and reporting that changes decisions—not just a posting schedule.
